Second grade students from San Augustine Elementary School are holding their new books, Spring Break from the Black Lagoon. Teachers read the book with their students to familiarize them with the words, and the students will take them home over Spring Break and read the books to their families. The books belong to the children, and for some, it is the only book in the home.
Providing children with their own books is a 2021-2022 Delta Gamma literacy project.
