February Meeting Playing with Idioms
Playing with Idioms
Facilitator: Carol McMillan Monday, February 12, 2024 Paxton Methodist Church Paxton, Texas Invocation: Madeline Gill Meditation: Lavonne Wood Courtesy contact: Madeline Gill **Please call in the number attending including any guests. An idiom is a phrase that, when taken as a whole, has a meaning you can't deduce from the meanings of the individual words. The English language has 25,000 idioms. Some are old, such as "Don't let the cat out of the bag" (don't reveal a secret), while others are relatively new, such as "You are dipping in my KoolAid" (you are in my business.)
Draw a common idiom from a deck of cards, and use your drawing skills (stick figures, okay) to illustrate the idiom so that other team members can guess the idiom/meaning. |

If you haven't setup your My DKG account, you need to do it now.
The DKG website, www.dkg.org, is almost unusable if you can't unlock its many resources as a member. It is free and simple to set up your account. Why do you need an account? Its all about security of your personal information. It begins with your membership number as you login name. The password is generic and my be obtained from the chapter. After setting up you account, you must change your password. The new password needs to include 7 characters – including at least one letter and one number. Here is a video explaining the process: https://youtu.be/Nn7-26BpWB8
